Changing Lives, Making History: CBST-The First 40 Years. A historic award-winning 320 page hard cover full color book; $50 cover price
"At the Heart of CBST: Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum," written by CBST's former rabbi and writer of CBST’s 40th Anniversary Book: Changing Lives, Making History Rabbi Ayelet S. Cohen, this new book explores Rabbi Kleinbaum's tenure and transformative work at CBST.
Rabbi Mike Moskowitz's first book: essays on Judaism and allyship as spiritual practice - deeply traditional Torah and radically progressive advocacy. Proceeds support the Scholar-in-Residence for Trans and Queer Jewish Studies program.
Chaver Up! by Rabbi Mike Moskowitz, edited by Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum, explores allyship as a core Jewish value. Through insights from 49 Jewish spiritual leaders, the book delves into the complexities, challenges, and transformative power of allyship. It encourages readers to embrace allyship as a path to greater kindness, empathy, and healing in the world.
In this collection of 58 essays on the weekly Torah portions and festivals, Rabbi Mike Moskowitz examines grace (חן) as a core attribute, connecting it to masculinity and the archetype of the groom (חתן). The book envisions a society where all gender expressions reflect the Divine with grace, offering constructive alternatives to modern issues of toxicity and erasure.
Rabbi Mike Moskowitz's most recent book explores the rich texture of time in Jewish tradition as a way of informing social justice today. Beginning with Passover, we take a deeper look at the festivals of the Jewish calendar and reflect on special characteristics of the holidays.
Ancestral Allyship, Rabbi Mike Moskowitz’s fifth book, emphasizes that our treatment of one another shapes our religious identity. Instead of viewing allyship only as a response to oppression, Jewish tradition calls for proactive prevention of human division. By adhering to God’s ethical standards, we work toward a world free of dehumanization. This book guides readers on that path.
